April 29th marks the 85th Day of the Nevada State Legislature’s 80th Session. Members of the Legislature’s Senate Finance and Assembly Ways and Means Committees have been busy trying to close departmental budgets since April 2, and on May 1 they’ll gather to get started with the Public Employees’ Benefits Program budget.

At long last Senate Bill 224 is on its way to the Nevada Assembly!
The first significant deadline of the 80th Session of the Nevada State Legislature has come and gone. Friday, April 12 meant all non-exempt bills faced Committee Passage in the First House, which led to a long day for lawmakers as well as legislative staff who prepare the bills and reports.
Every September officers and delegates from 18 RPEN Chapters state-wide come together to conduct the business of our organization and this year’s attendees may be considering a membership dues increase.
It’s Day 64 of the 80th Session of the Nevada State Legislature, and the next deadline facing lawmakers arrives Friday, April 12 when all non-exempt bills must pass out of their Committee of Origin.
